Where does grace get her clothes? they look like a thrift store nightmare. Their first date she wears 2 different colors and patterns. It almost made me blind. However this is such a sweet funny movie. Jim belushi cracks me up!

According to the commentary, they were wondering how to dress Grace and decided on something soft, floral and old fashioned. That should do it. I somewhat thought she was dressed like a grandma, but #1 I didn't think it looked that bad, and #2 that's kinda been fashionable in recent years.

Don't forget she was raised by her Grandfather, was sick and lived a sheltered life because of her health. That may have alot to do with it.

Wow. I don't agree with the criticism of Grace's clothes at all! It is so refreshing to see a character imbued with decency, character and modesty. The clothes were feminine and for the most part, non-revealing ... unlike the very unfeminine woman lawyer Bob was set up with for a blind date.
I guess it's a matter of perspective ... what you're used to ... and what you value ...
