... or at least that's what the snail-like pacing had me believe... ! Sweet and slow courtship might be desirable if you're the one involved in it, but boy does it drag when it's up on the screen! All the 'vibrancy' usually characterised by Hunt's acting is totally dissipated here by her 'leaden' direction... 4/10.

Yep. This one is too slow, but worse than that - it's really bad. Ugh. I hate seeing bad movies it makes me want to go bowling or eat something << >> ..
anyway.. Joely Richardson who played his wife in the beginning is 150x hotter than Minne Driver (whom I don't think is attractive at all), so I hated seeing her be the one who was killed off; they should have switched the roles.
yes i agree it is a bad film, dreadful writing, boring situations and generaly not entertaining whatsoever. I was wondering when was i gonna find a negative post of this truly awful bad film. Shame to all involed in the production of this mess of a film especaily Lake & Hunt who wrote this stinking pile of crap !

I loved how in this movie the 2 main characters didn't jump right into bed like most movies. It was old-fashion and romantic.

It was very refreshing to see a romantic film that doesn't involve pick-up lines, self-absorbed phony people, and lots of lustful sex. This movie was realistic and un-Hollywood. We need more films out there like this.

There are so many horrid films that come out now with no plot-no direction-no good script etc. This film is golden and will be enjoyed by many for years to come. If you didn't like it... go to a board of a

I totally agree. I mean, if you can't enjoy a sweet, unassuming film like this even a little bit, there's definitely something essential missing in your life. I can't imagine what these people were looking to find when they chose to see this movie? I wonder what part of the trailer confused them? It's definitely not for everybody, I don't know why they had to $h!t on it just because they didn't get it.
