A line I didn't get...

Just as Grace is getting ready to leave for Rome, out of nowhere...

GRACE (looking at Megan): Yeah.
MEGAN (looking at Grace): Okay.

Where did that come from and what was it about? I didn't understand.

Thank you! I'm here all week!

Well, I believe that Bonnie Hunt says this to Minnie to confirm that she's ready to GO! That's what I think anyway. Hope this helps.

reply

perhaps also it was meant that Minnie isn't waiting any more.

On the DVD commentary, Bonnie Hunt says that there was a scripted conversation between Grace and Megan that was filmed. Bonnie Hunt decided to edit it down, and instead make it seem like they were silently sharing thoughts.

I got it. My sister and I have conversations like this. Grace was saying she was ready to go, even though she had doubts about it, and Megan was saying she believed in her, and knew she'd be fine. Things would work out. Sister talk.

How's this gonna work if you don't do what I say?

reply

It seemed like Megan's expression was asking Grace if she was sure she wanted to leave. Since she was sure ("Yeah"), she would support her decision ("Okay").
