i think, because of nick's oj's defense fund line. also part 3 (1992) seems to have taken place in 1990.
shareI haven't seen this movie in a few decades, but I distinctly recall the freeway scene. Unless it is an anachronism, then I don't believe the film could have taken place in 1994, as the car they drive during the scene is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am.
sharei'll take that as a film flub, and an understandable one. my theory is not set in stone but it makes me comfortable to think it hasn't been that long since their last adventure. but i guess the cell phone stuff also goes against my theory.
