I just love the crap out of this movie! Great action, sooooo many laughs, I love how they play off the little jokes from the earlier flicks, Chris Rock was awesome, and I absolutely loved the ending with Leo and everyone at the hospital. I know some people don't like this one as much as the others, but for me personally, this is a perfect movie.
sharei agree with everything you said. I think its rare that a fourth movie in a film series can be just as good if not better than the previous films. I think Jet Li was a great addition to the series as the villain and it featured some great action scenes, the car stunt was spectacular when i first saw it.
shareAgreed 100% ...this is a great movie and even though there had been a 6-year gap between LW3 and this one they still treated it the same. For example if they made a LW today they would have to go through all the jokes of how old they are now and come up with a reason why near-60 year-old guys are chasing down bad guys.
That's the problem with sequels made years later. The signs of age and the passing of time have too much affect on the film. Indy 4 is a unique example of a belated sequel that kind of straddles the fence. It's heart is in the right place, the same stars, same director, same basic premise of previous films. However, it suffers because it doesn't use the same type of special effects as the earlier films and the violence is toned way down. I enjoy the movie but there are things that bother me about it too.
