I realize it's a fact of life, but am I the only one..

who found it kinda depressing that now Riggs was also getting "too old for this *beep*

Its funny you mention this bmecause i hated LW4 so much at the time thinking the whole thing was ridiculous with Riggs losing his edge and "getting too old for this *beep* The 4th one just didnt feel like it belonged in the series. I disliked it so much that i didnt even watch it for years...many years. But one day a couple years ago we did a Lethal Weapon marathon and i saw it again for the first time since 98. At the time LW4 was realeased i was 18 and apparently just didnt get it because after watching it again its probably my favorite in the series. It can be depressing at times getting older but building a great family and having great friends makes it worthwhile.

Sorry Brother.

I felt the same way. I know it was meant to show he was getting old, especially considering Mel was too, but that character was such a badass it was painful to see him get his ass kicked. But if you really look at the story, the man has more to live for and the risks became too great. I do feel it was the logical end to this saga though.

Yeah, I agree, just wish the fights were not so one sided, especially at the end

In some ways he wasn't the "Lethal Weapon" of old.

Not me. The continuity of the franchise is one of the things I like about it. Riggs doesn't stay where he was in the first movie; he comes down from off the ledge, stabilizes, gets into a relationship (and not a "girl of the week" kind) and eventually grows old. Makes them feel more like real people.

Fichtre! Voila qu'on me tue mes morts.
