Murtaugh got in some good shots against Ku, but I was really hoping he was the one that finished him off. Riggs was the one that did. Murtaugh had a real beef with him. Ku killed Murtaugh's friend Hong. Murtaugh did stick that thing through him, which should've killed him, but in the end it was Riggs that got him. I guess they had Riggs do it because he was younger than Murtaugh.

They're really Mel's movies, after all he is the title role but to be fair they did give Murtaugh much more to do here than they did in 3 where he barely registered.
Here he helped to actually bring down the main bad guy and then saved Rigg's life.
Ironically in the original where Riggs is at his most Lethal, Murtaugh actually kills both main bad guys. He kills the general, and his bullet hits Joshua's heart first.
