Just seen the uncut version, as when it was released in britain the swines cut it to ribbons. The uncut version really gave the film some of it's balls back, the fight scene at the end especially was really reminiscent of the dark tone that made the original such an all time classic.
Somewhere along the line they just got carried away with the comedy.

Yep I'm in the UK and when it is shown on cable they show the uncut version.It's great.No extra scenes just a bit more violence to the action scenes.For instance,you see the chineese guy actually get hit by the bus on the motorway,and Mel doesn't just pick Jet Li up by the spike through him,he wrestles with him and makes him suffer a little before the bridge caves in.Just those extra little things now make it so much better.
But it annoys me because I only have the theatrical release on dvd.
yeah me too. planning on getting the blue ray version soon, although going by most of warners blue ray releases i dont hold out much hope of it having the extras!
