dident anakin supposed to kill the emperor in the end?

they make it clear througe the entire movie that the main reason anakin did all what he did was so he can save padme. the movie clearly hammaring it to the viewer constantly. none of the other reasons really matterded.this was the real reason

so when anakin/vader discoverd that padme is dead by the emperor he should have realized the emperor set him up and just kill him.

it makes no sense that anakin would immidaitly switch over to building death stars where padme was his whole life.

He didnt because the emperor made him believe that he killed padme when he choked her. So that got the emperor off of the hook. Vader blamed himself.

still. he has no reason to team up with him after padme is dead

Vader is not stupid. One could argue that the Emperor saved his life. Vader knows this and he also knows thathe killed Padme not the Emperor.

Vader accepts his situation and effectively pledges his life to the Empire and the Emperor from this moment.

Not to mention as soon as Palpatine said that he'd have to work together with Anakin to find the secret to save Padme, that was already a wakeup call that Palpatine was full of himself.
