Would it have killed them to think up a new alien enemy?

This is the worst kind of sequel -- one that is content merely retreading the original plot-point by plot-point (a la GHOSTBUSTERS 2) and which goes back on already-established information of the original for the sake of continuing (BACK TO THE FUTURE 2). But my God -- there is an entire universe out there! Would it have killed them to think up a new alien villain race? Bugs AGAIN?! And that stupid dog AGAIN? Sucky movie.

Serlena may not have been in the 1st movie, but she is a bug alien--which is what the 1st movie was brimming with. My point was that the filmmakers could've at least thought up a new alien species.

Yeah not only that but her abilities were nothing like Edgers. She also though in opposite ways. Edger used brute force to get things done. She plotted and made deals.

Serleena was not a bug. She more resembled a snake. But could transform to any form and size using her tentacles. She was more like an alien with tentacles wrapped around each other. That's very difference than a bug.

Exactly. Snake-like, and I would say also kind of plant-like.
