does anyone know where in this flick elliott is featured? i've listened and listened and know that he was uncredited. any help would be appreciated.

the song is actually a HEATMISER tune called REST MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL... his original band (i would recommend "Mic City Sons" - most Elloit-esque album)

The song that plays when Arlo returns to his girlfriend in the beginning of the film is "Emma J" by Brendan Benson. How can you not love that song?

I believe that the song is simply Neil Gust, rather than Elliott Smith. I remember reading something about the two of them wrote songs separately, recorded them separately, and shoved them all on the same album. Its a good album, though, I think that 'Rest my head against the wall' is my favourite song off of it, despite being a huge elliott fan. You should check out 'Cop and Speeder'.

the album is about 50/50 gust and smith, i think each wrote their own lyrics and of course the entire band recorded together.

Mic City Sons I would have to say is one of the better albums i've ever heard.
