Strange scene in Zero's apt.

Zero is supposedly obssessed with privacy, but Stiller doesn't even knock before entering his bedroom (where he could be wanking, for all Stiller knows).

This is either a plot flaw, or underscores an enormous level of trust/comfort between Zero & Stiller.

Either way, I don't know many men who would want any other man to be able to enter their home unannounced, and then enter their bedroom without knocking.

(I know there's cameras in place, but Zero didn't seem to be watching the screens.)

Zando777, you do make me laugh!

We have to be friends.

From 8:39 until 9:38 - that is, as the movie begins, Ben Stiller / Steve Arlo has to punch in keys, unlock all sorts of keylocks, and then punch alarms off - just to enter Daryl Zero's flat. Then he throw shut at least 5 keys and punches more buttons into the alarm.

Oh, and to continue:

Steve can hear that Daryl Zero is strumming flatly and singing even more flatly. He rolls his eyes. He helps himself to a soda from a fridge before daring to approach his maniac boss.

In addition, Zero has video surveillance cameras outside his penthouse as well as tons of tv monitors all over his place. Zero knew he was there way before Steve even entered.

I would also add that NO ONE else can enter based on the security. Stiller is his proxy, and is his only contact with the outside world. Think of him as a sensory organ or appendage.

If he couldn't trust Arlo, he wouldn't be able to function at all.
