Small detail but it always bugs me. A girl that rich would absolutely have a nice car of her own. Her mom spoils her and doesn't want to be bothered with picking her up, and is concerned with her image. The only way a girl like that doesn't have her own car is if she has a chauffeur.
shareI disagree. Sandra Van Ryan is interested in ONLY Sandra Van Ryan! What did she say in the police station before Kelly did her rape interview? "Sam Lombardo can't do this TO ME!". Uh.....he supposedly raped Kelly, not you! Someone as rich as Sandra could overlook giving Kelly a car.
shareDoubtful. Kelly seems like the type where she and all her friends get nice brand new cars for their sweet 16s. Even if Sandra overlooked it, seems like Kelly would ask and then Sandra would just to keep her happy.
I realize it was just a shortcut for Kelly to get a ride home from Sam and the writers probably didn't think I'd overthink it. Honestly even if they said Kelly had a car and it was in the shop or something, it would still just seem odd that Sandra didn't make other arrangements. And why would Kelly rely on a faculty member instead of a friend? Ultimately just odd is all.
