Robert Downey Jr.'s opinion of the film
Apparently, he hated working on the film and later called it the worst action movie of all time.
shareApparently, he hated working on the film and later called it the worst action movie of all time.
shareIt looks like at the time he was just interested in making movies for the money because of his personal problems.
Its that man again!!
Not calling you a liar but...link?
Just my one cent since I can't afford two.
It took him away from time that he could've been spending snorting coke.
I'm happiest...in the saddle.
He did indeed hate making this movie......he had a lot of problems back then and he said that carried over into the film. Personally, i didnt like this film, it seemed like a cheap copy of the First one......Shame, it had a good cast.
shareIt was a gamble for WB to give him work considering his various personal issues. He can't really complain.
As for worst action movie of all time, he was either being a drama queen or he hasn't seen enough of them! I'd agree it's a carbon copy of the first film but still very entertaining.

Yeah,he said this:
"[on "U.S. Marshals"] Possibly the worst action movie of all time, and that's just not good for the maintenance of a good spiritual condition. You've had a traumatic year, you've been practically suicidal - what do you think would be really healing for you? How about like twelve weeks of running around as Johnny Handgun? I think that if you talk to a spirit guide, they would say, 'That'll kill you.'
[on "U.S. Marshals"] I thought maybe there was something I was missing, and what I really needed to do was to be in one of those films that I love taking my kid to. It would end up being really depressing. I'd rather wake up in jail for a TB test than have to wake up another morning knowing I'm going to the set of US Marshals."

Despite he says, I think this movie is much better than others he has filmed around that time. There are RDJ movies that I consider a real garbage and I think he only accepted because of money. "U.S Marshals" is a more serious and cool movie than others like "Two girls and a guy", "Friends and lovers" .At least in Us Marshals he plays a normal guy,the story is good ,he has a good role and you enjoy watching him, but in other movies I get bored in 5 minutes and I feel he is wasting time because the movie is a joke.
I liked his character John Royce, not just because he looked super hot with that dark blue suit, and that air of wall street executive, also because I think his role was interesting and good.I never expected he was the bad guy of the story.
Larry will save my day..4eyes sad
I liked this movie when it first came out and I like it now. It was the first Robert Downey, Jr. movie where I thought, "wow, he has really grown up!" He had such a baby face in his earlier movies but in this one, he looked like who his character was supposed to be, like you said, with the air of a wall street executive. The only part that made me laugh was when he was trying to get out of the wrecked SUV at the cemetery, he's so small that he could stand up in the seat to kick the door (sorry, that was rude).

In me the tiger smells the rose - Siegfried Sassoon
tommy lee jones was the best part of THE FUGITIVE
his character was scary, funny, clever and cool
they should have left well enough alone
the ''sequel'' never should have been made
... he's so small ...I didn't realise Ironman was that small, until seeing him stand beside TLJ a couple of times and he was dwarfed in comparison.🐭 share

i havent seen this movie yet, but robert downey jr is a douchebag, so I won't be taking his word for it...
shareHe was on drugs then and an idiot, and ignorant. hope he clean up his act now though. I thought the movie was pretty good, but the first one was better, just saying.

That makes sense, he didn't bring his a-game to this movie in fact he was pretty bad he constantly made those sneaky looks to hint that he was the bad guy in all this, but it was too over the top that it was obvious from the first scene he was in that he was the baddie and should have just played it more regular
I wouldn't call it the worst action movie of all time tho that's just sillyness, generic and far from as good as The Fugitive and way too long for it's own good sure but the worst ever, no lol
For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.
Yeah, he did make it seem pretty obvious with those looks but I loved this film, not as great as TF but still good.
"I'm the ultimate badass, you do NOT wanna f-ck wit me!"Hudson,Aliens😬
From the trivia page:
"Towards the end of the production shoot, the cast and crew had to wait days without filming waiting for Robert Downey Jr. to show up and finish the movie. The only scenes left to shoot were the hospital scenes that He was in and there was no way to shoot without him there. He finally did show up and finish his scenes apparently without the need for an explanation or an apology to those who waited..."
Bring me a dream Burke, bring me a dream!
If that story's true he must have REALLY cleaned up his act since then.
He kept Wesley Snipes waiting for a wrap party? That's either brave or stupid :)

I read the trivia page before watching the movie and wondered which of RDJ's co-stars would join him in his trailer.
I'm thinking Joey Pants. They may have even scored through HIS guy LOL.
He's exaggerating. There's far worse out there.
shareSome of Dolph Lundgren's films are forgettable. Like the one where Jerry Springer is President and he has to go rescue him from some bad guys. I remember I rented some of his movies from the video store way back 11 years ago or so, and now I can't even remember them well. I still like his Punisher movie and he was fun in the Expendables.
