I Don't Care What Anyone Says: I Love This Movie

Despite all of the bad reviews from the critics and users of this site, I have to say that after seeing this movie again recently (after Curb, this time) Sour Grapes is a funny, but misunderstood film.

Once you get the hang of Larry David, you start to see the film's subtlties and nuances. This is what makes Larry David a great comedic talent.

Forget the plotline of this film, it's everything in between that's funny. As Robert Weide said, "If the country every caught up to this guy's sense of humor, there'd be chaos in the streets."

A huge Sein and CYE fan here. Just ordered this film at DDD dot com for $5.99. I know I'll like it because just reading the premise on this site made me crack up. What a dilemma eh?

The DVD about nothing arrives on November 23

I am a Seinfeld Fanatic. I've loved it from the start and will continue to love it forever.

When I first heard Larry David was making a movie I was excited. I saw the preview and I just had to see the movie. Almost 8 years pass and I didn't see it untill today. Last night I found it for $5.50 and bought it.

The basic plot of the movie is a little weak, the ending was kinda good. But the best parts of the movie are where they're "going over the excruciating minutia of everyday life." to qoute Elaine Benes.(like the guy at the bar for example)

All in all it's a good movie. $5.50 was well worth it.

I agree with you a fine movie. Very funny.

In heaven everything is fine

Hell yes. Only those who truly understand LD humor will understand or appreciate this film. Nice sig, Sleepy.

I love this movie as well!

ditto. this movie is for hardcore fans of CYE/Seinfeld. This is basically an hour-and half Curb episode. The rediculous plot elements are hilarious and the awkward social scenes are classic. A true gem for LD fans!

This is one of those rare comedies who's repeatability factor is through the roof, no matter where I am or what i'm doing if it's on it stays on and i'll stop what i'm doing lol.

It's got a very relaxed and breezy attitude about itself unlike other obnoxious comedies that comes out of Hollywood. It's simple, elegant and damn funny and what makes this film work, in addition to LD's trademark humor that is unmistakable here, are the performances from Steven Weber and Craig Bierko.

These two guys aren't afraid to be silly and it all adds to the films charms. I'm also proud to say that I now have this DVR'rd in HD from MOJO and will probably never delete it lol.

BTW, Richie owed Evan 50 cents, that's it. ;)

Same here. I LOVED this movie. It's not like any other comedy, the plot proves what a creative genius Larry David is.
