This had a unique style - then nearly every movie in the 2000s copied it and people got sick of it.

Yes, please enlighten us to what style you speak of because I can name tens of dozens of early 2000s POPULAR films that do not seem remotely similar to Saving Private Ryan in any way other than being a motion picture.

I think I got it. Take Legally Blond (2001) - the main character starts off in one place (California) but, ends up in another place (Massachusetts). That movement across a geographical distance is very poignant, very unique to films of the 2000s.

Good catch. Another typical late 90's trademark is male characters talking to each other. Later some of them start yelling occasionally.

So true! Sometimes they talk - or yell - while moving across a landscape.
