Question about the D-Day sequence and the cinematography
At one point the camera switches to the soldier's point of view, or at least just behind them, and the movement gets sporadic and choppy. It's like they intentionally dropped the frame rate, and it's to give it a racing, surreal feeling of terror and panic. It reminds me of being stoned. Does anyone know the cinematic term for this? Is there a term? ALSO, do you think I'm mistaken in the effect they were going for?
