Devon and Cornwall; the worst sidekicks since the gargoyles in Huncback

Sorry for bitching, but after re-watching the movie again the other night, I must confess that I didn’t warmed up for Devon and Cornwall at all. They were simply not funny; just annoying. It isn’t wrong to copy the Disney formula and adding sidekicks, but what’s the point to have sidekicks when they fail miserably with their purpose? In fact, I can’t think of any worse and misplaced sidekicks than the Gargoyles from “Hunchback”. Whoever who came with the brilliant idea to give them modern comments (“ladies and gentlemen, take “mayday, mayday”) and adding pop culture references in their “If I Didn’t Have You”-sequence, should be fired. Those modern references didn’t belong in a movie which takes place in medieval times. What do you guys think?

They're awful but 1000 times better than those in Epic.
