Margarita Scene

Can someone explain what the heck that all was? Why did they start checking each other? What's the deal with the bottle?

reply

It was just something fun they did as a family. The aunts aren't very traditional. The bottle was the brand the guy they killed drank.

Midnight Margaritas was something that the family sometimes did. It starts nice and normal, familial, and then gets corrupted and turns dark. From the influence of the spirit, bringing out the darkness of the characters and turning them against each other (the booze being the catalyst as it's Jimmy's brand).

It's supposed to show how the spirit is not laid to rest but is still at work and corrupting them.

We're not playing Yellow Car.--Martin
You're always playing Yellow Car.--Arthur

Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!

The bottle was the tequila laced with the belladonna. The aunts found it on the back porch. It somehow found it's way there.
