Questions/Observations.

1) DAVID sure seemed very casual whenever JENNIFER talked about sex. If my sister said "I've had, like, 10 times as much sex as the rest of these girls" to me, I'd have a heart attack.

2) Did WILL and BETTY always liked each other? Or did it start when they saw each other for the 1st time?

3) The characters don't recognize things like fire because the show never had them. Most people have the same reaction to rain... but GEORGE, BIG BOB and the other men at the bowling place knew what rain was.

4) Was the TV show actually altered? I mean, will people from the real world see the characters in color from now on?

5) Is there a reason in particular why we only see BIG BOB getting color? With everyone else, the editing hides it.

6) The TV REPAIRMAN planned everything so that DAVID & JENNIFER would learn a lesson, right? So whenever he got angry at the changes, he was pushing into keep changing things? What if had actually listened to him?

7) The FAQ section has a very good explanation about JENNIFER's abscence. However, DAVID doesn't know that. That's why it's still weird not seeing him telling his mom about JENNIFER.

8) GEORGE became WILL? Or did they just switch places and GEORGE now works at a diner?

reply

1) They seemed distant enough and he was so withdrawn , obsessed with an old show etc, it just wasn't something to bug him

2) Since they knew eachother by name, its possible that in 'previous episodes' of the show the characters had interacted. For example, maybe the mom drove him to the shop the first time Bud applied to get a job there. It's likely that there attraction may have started simply because the world as a whole was slowly changing

3) They knew what rain was because of things like a weather forcast may have been all 'rain's coming' on some episode. Also , the school was putting on some kind of play that involved umbrellas, implying that they knew the concept of rain and what umbrellas were for, they just never experienced it for real because it never rained on the show. When Jen tried to show David that things didn't burn , the lighter itself lit up. They may have had an idea about what fire was but never actually saw flames that big or had a concept that it would burn things away. I think they had a lot of knowledge about a lot of things they never experienced first hand simply because it was written in scripts of the show

4) It was altered since the tv repair guy was yelling at David to stop what he was doing because the 'reruns are different'. It would have been interesting to see at the end some 'clips from the new version of the show'

5) Probably a combination of editing ( it would be a long scene to see David pointing to each person and talking about something in their life) It's possible that seeing Big Bob change(and the whole scene in general) was enough of an emotional thing to a lot of them so they changed in mass.

6) It's never 100% explained what his intentions were, it certainly did seem like he indeed wanted to help them learn some things (similarly to Click) It's either contradictory for him being angry that they were making changes even though his goal was for them to change, or he expected them to be able to change without changing the show

7)I havn't read the FAQ but since time seemed to be prolonged inside the show world, I don't think Jennifer would have been noticbly absent for long. David could have gone back into the world an hour later and it would have been another week for Jen.

8)I don't think George became Will, but the characters were altered so that Will was now her husband. It's uncertain if George no longer exists, or more likely has become the soda shop owner character.
