I saw this last night on cable for the first time and really enjoyed it. Had a couple of questions/comments for the die hards on here:

1) In the scene where (Jerry)Ben Stiller talks to the doctor and fills out the paperwork-In the closing credits the actor playing this role is listed as Jerry Stahl. am i to presume this is a cameo by the real Stahl? Again, forgive me if this was stated before-looked all over and didn't see it.

2) Is the DVD version of this movie worth tracking down? What special features (if any) are on there? Commentary by the actors or Stahl?

3) The guy that was doing the ALF clone puppet in the movie is the same guy who did among other things the voice of Roger Rabbit.

4) Is it me or was Janeane Garofalo sexy looking in this? Some roles she is really hot, and others.......well.....not. Maybe it was the glasses she wore.

Yes, that is the real Jerry Stahl.

My copy of the DVD lists commenatry by David Veloz, deleted scenes and a theatrical trailer (actually one of my favorite trailers of all-time). There are also production notes and cast & crew information.

But look at the date of the film. 1998.

You are perfectly correct, she looks great here. The Truth About Cats and Dogs is another good illustration of how attractive and appealing she was in this stage of her career. It wasn't until 5 or 6 years later she let the bitterness and hate inside her devour that charm.

It's difficult to remember now but there was a time she had a smile that could light up the world. It's a shame that was lost.
