Lindsay was so adorable in this flick.

She was so winning, charming and genuinely likeable in this movie. It's a pity that her life went downhill almost two decades later.

Yeah, it's sad because she had a lot of potential. Wasn't even 2 decades, more like just 1. Hopefully she makes a genuine comeback one day.

Robert Downey Jr. would probably be the best example of a big star who spent several years as a full-fledged drug freak, then completely straightened himself out and came back as a superstar, but he had a big advantage that a guy can come back in his late 30s/early 40s and look a little 'worn and weatherbeaten' and audiences will just think he looks 'rugged.'

Whereas if LL completely cleans up and comes back in her mid 30s looking somewhat haggard and worn-out, she'll never be able to get the young-babe roles she would have been getting had she not had the substance problems.

Philip Seymour Hoffman: another cautionary tale.

Get it together, LL.

She was a pretty talented girl with a lot of potential. So sad she's sabotaged herself, I hope one day she gets over herself and gets things on track.

She is. I remember seeing this in the theater and I was very impressed with her.

Agreed the only LL movie I liked so cute money and Hollywood can really frek some people up

I agree too. It was also perhaps her most demanding role. At her young age she had to play two different characters, learn a British accent, and essentially carry the picture because the viewers had to believe in the characters of Annie and Hallie. I remembered thinking how good she was when I first saw this movie and that I hoped she wouldn't be ruined by Hollywood as she grew up.

I thought Lindsay did have good moments in some of her other films like Get A Clue (Disney Channel TV movie), Freaky Friday, and Mean Girls. But after that it seemed to go downhill from there.

I agree. It was her first movie and I think her best. IMDB still lists this as her feature film.

She is adorable.

I don't follow her, but my 2nd favorite role of Lindsay's was her 2004 SNL Hermione growth spurt skit on SNL, showing off her very beautiful and impressive b(oYo)bs to Harry and Ron (pretending to be year 2 at Hogwarts, and how much she had "grown" over the summer.
