If you could rename this film

what would you choose?

British critics hated the title and America changed it to something even worse.

I don't hate the title but I can't think what else it could be called.

.....its not a bad title at all. It fits into a love story.

THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU

The very thought of you
And I forget to do
The little ordinary things that everyone ought to do
I'm living in a kind of daydream
I'm happy as a king
And foolish though it may seem
To me that's everything
The mere idea of you
The longing here for you
You'll never know how slow the moments go
Till I'm near to you
I see your face in every flower
Your eyes in stars above
It's just the thought of you
The very thought of you
My love

In Russian translation the title sounds as "Something about Martha"

I think "Something About Martha" fits quite nicely.

It took me some time to understand the British title, because the order is off. She does not meet Frank first at all. But I decided that was a bit of a puzzle, to throw you off so you would not cue in on the time deception needed to buy into the story the way Laurence tells it. IOW, if it went by the true order of the meetings, we would be alerted to a major spoiler. I suppose they could have done it Daniel, Frank and Laurence, but that was not clever enough, I guess!

If it were up to me, I would've called it "Dipstick, Meet Three Losers"

I know this is way too late, but that title is SO TRUE! Thanks for my laugh of the day. I just had to comment on how great it was. I spent the whole time I was watching this movie wondering why any of those three guys would look twice at Martha. She was a whiny, boring pain in the kazoo who in real life no one would have given the time of day. So it was rather disorienting to have three men falling all over themselves in love with her. Totally unbelievable.

Funny.

It would have to be something cheesy like "As fate would have it" LOL that just popped into my head when I saw this movie...

If the American distributors insisted on having a song title for the film's title, how about I Only Want To Be With You since that is what is used for the end credit crawl? It would also maintain that modicum of suspense as to with whom she would end up.

But throughout it all, my motto was "Dignity! Always dignity!".
