I remember this being quite big at the time
As big as Pirates of the Caribbean. Anyone recall it's popularity? Now it seems the film has disappeared into oblivion.
Oh well, at least there's still Puss in Boots.

Yeah it was big at the time. It was being advertised a lot and I remember when I saw it there was a line for it at the theater you had to wait in after you bought your ticket. I thought it was a really entertaining and fun movie. I haven't seen it for a few years now and think I'm going to watch it in the upcoming days. I have to say though I didn't really care for the sequel much...
shareYes, the sequel was awful for sure. I remember this being a big hit in theaters too. I saw it in theaters when I was about 15 and the film holds a bit of nostalgia for me. I recall it was a fairly big hit in theaters and was well received, but now it's rarely mentioned and almost never shown on TV. It only had a 6.7 rating on here too, which doesn't seem right. It should have a solid 7 or so rating. A good movie that deserves a better rating and more recognition than it does today.
Well don't just do something, stand there!
Its funny ive just re-watched this today because i saw The Lone Ranger the other night and thought 'wow Zorro was so much better'. The action sequences are great not to OTT which i feel 90% of today's films are (TLR and Pirates being perfect examples).
