Zeta Jones never looked better then this movie

there are certian movies where no matter how much an actress does, she will never look as good as she did in one paritcular film. i have seen her in various things over the years, and NOTHING has come close to her hotness and gorgeusness then in this film. shes just beautiful and breathtaking and fits this story and time period so well. seeing her in a modern setting, she doesnt look half as gorgeus IMO.

I agree this is one of the movies where she looked a t her best and she fits in period pieces just perfect.
But I disagree that she hasn't looked that well after this film.

I loved her looks in entrapment, intolerable Cruelty, Chicago and more recentley the rebound and rock of ages.

I've also seen the trailers from Playing for keeps and broken city and she looks amazing in both.

reply

Yes I agree. I came here to say that exact same thing. She's one of the most beautiful woman I ever seen in that movie. She's still one of my favorite, but I concur: She was on fire in that movie

reply

Absolutely. She was smouldering in this movie.

reply

Agreed! she was stunning in this movie!

That's what she said

reply

Agree. She didn't even look as beautiful in the sequel to Zorro. There's something about her in this movie which makes her mesmerizing.

I agree she looked amazing, and she fit the period clothes. There's a classic beauty about her, and she played a Spanish accent very well. I did notice however there seemed to be a lot of soft filters on her close-ups, which may have contributed to her more ethereal beauty.

Hopkins and Banderas are both good in their mentor/student roles and convincingly pull off their action scenes. Wilson and Matt Letscher make their bad guys really nefarious and you just can’t wait until they get what’s coming to them. And Zeta-Jones…..man she never looked better. It’s almost distracting how good she looks in this.

I believe this is the movie that scumbag Michael Douglas saw CZ Jones for the first time and then decided to dump his wife and mother of his kids and pursue CZJ.

reply

She looks great in this movie.

reply

yes youre right. he met during the premier and then she was damaged goods. and she was young in this movie. this was her breakout role. her whole look also added to the charm. shes still gorgeous now and later films after this, but the elena in her is gone.

reply

What do you mean she was damaged goods? I read that CZJ made Douglas wait for 6 months of courting before she slept with him, by American and Hollywood standards, she's practically a prude!

CZJ certainly looks flat-out amazing in this film, but IMO if you want to see her at her absolute zenith check out The Phantom from a few years earlier. She's so stunning it's almost painful to look at her.

Absolutely agree with you, she looked just as good in "The Phantom".
Those two movies showed her esthetic peak, as far as I'm concerned. "Entrapment" and "Cruel Intentions" complete the top 3 (or top 4).

reply

Sorry, I meant "Intolerable Cruelty" of course. Brain fart.

reply

Ahhh......but this marriage helped CZJ career as well.
