Why this film has such a low rating? The acting was pretty great, the direction was good, the writing was decent, and overall a very well executed film. I've read both the bad and good reviews for this film and can't understand anything bad about it.
shareI agree, it's actually a pretty darn good film - very well-made, gorgeous, and entertaining.
And normally I loathe DiCaprio, but in this film his intrinsic annoying smugness was used to good effect in half of his role, and he managed to do surprisingly well when he had to play someone more likeable as well.
I agree with you. I’ve always liked this movie a lot. 8/10 for me.
