Is this where the seed was planted for snatch?

I love both of these films, and I recognized that this and snatch have a very similar cast and a somewhat similar build with the wide array of characters and somehow comedic bloody violence that I just love so much and I was just curious, was this the film that sparked snatch or was it just in the casting?

Nevermind I spaced that this was also guy Ritchie. And it was fairly obvious

Yes, Ritchie got a bigger budget after Lock Stock became a huge success and made Snatch. Snatch sort of hung onto the coat tails of Lock Stock's success.

I like both but Lock, Stock is just so much more quotable.

I used to have the Willem Dafoe living under my bed.
