What is the name of the winning piece of the duel

I have been looking but could not find that piece of music in the soundtrack CD. Could someone tell me what the name of the piece 1900 played so incredibly fast that won the duel is?

Why is it not in the soundtrack CD?

Could such a piece be performed by a human player? Or is it a computer generated piece? Who played it in real life?

Why no one seems to be curious about this piece? I was so impressed by it.

I can't recall the thread-names, but there have been lenghty discussions about this piece on this board in past. Even professional pianists have expressed their opinions. So if you have the time I'd advise you to look into the older threads. I know IMDB somewhy deletes very old threads, so you'll have to hope that these are not among the deleted ones...

Anyway, from what I recall the piano-playing-posters couldn't quite agree. Some said that it's playable, but you'll need to be a brilliantly awesomely good, some said that it's unplayable.

Can't help you with the name of the piece right now though.

Ok, did some searching. The piece is named "Enduring Movement".

Thank you so very much! I really appreciate it. It does take a lot of endurance to play that I think :) Is Ennio Morricone the composer? I found it on youtube:

Could this piece really be played by one person??

reply

Np. :)

And yes, Morricone composed all the music for this movie.

FWIW, that piece cannot be played with just two hands.

reply

It's 100% played by 4 hands.

The composer is Amedeo Tommasi. He has a cameo as the piano tuner.

I thought it was Flight of the Bumblebee.

reply

It's derivative of Flight of the Bumblebee. The Guitar equivalent is Zorba's Dance.
