so it would seem that cars can float on water now...
That knowledge will come in handy the next time I drive out to the lake or the river.
In fairness they will for a couple of minutes til the water fills in enough of the compartments to sink them, it's part of how they get swept about, but since they had the windows open that's really just the trunk... So yeah.
shareIf the current is strong enough and pushing them in one direction, it can slow down how long it takes the car to fill and sink (ie a force pushing the car perpendicular to the one pushing it down will probably slow it down, ie, its how if you have a box against a smooth wall and push with force into the wall, it will either slide slowly or if the force is strong enough stop) , hell even under water a strong current could probably drag the car.
