The rights to the "Halloween" name and franchise now being up for sale has lead to the latest movie "Halloween Returns" (a continuation of the original series) being cancelled and the possibility of a reboot new "Halloween" TV series - see link...

Screw a TV series, I wanna see another movie. I was pissed that Halloween Returns was cancelled but I'm glad that Carpenter is on board for the next installment.
