Why didn't the Paramedic remove Michael's mask???
Question of the movie...
shareBecause you're never supposed to see Michael unmasked. He wore bandages in 4, wore the mask in a jail cell in 5. Why would this be any different? You take away the mask, you take away the fear and mystique. You humanize him. You can't do that to a killer.

Um, we have seen him unmasked many of times. His mask was pulled off in the very first film, and he takes it off in in the 5th film of the series. While I admit it would not be wise to unmask him doing so would not have destroyed any mystique as we have already seen behind the mask.

Exactly the Paramedic should of removed the mask instead of reaching out maybe Laurie would have noticed and not took off his head.
sharePicture this....you wake up, your throat hurting like hell after your larnyx had been crushed, inside a bodybag in a van being driven by some woman you've never met. Then you get shot out the front window, hit by a car, careen down a hill only to be pinned by said car causing massive internal injuries and imminent death. Let's get past the movie non logic of a normal person surviving that in the first place, suspension of disbelief...
But after all that, you'd be coherent enough to take off whatever's on your head? Could've been a potato sack for all he knew. Not like he had much time to react.
But in all reality, H20's ending was made to make us think that was Michael, but Hollywood never leaves a cash cow, not even Akkad, who's never "killed" Michael before, so you knew there was a chance another would be made and they'd have to get out of it. Doesn't lessen H20's ending in 1998, doesn't make Res. a complete loss with the ret-con.
Could they have done better? Yes. Copycats would've been way worse or reattaching his head. So by standards, this wasn't that bad.

i still don't buy that it was a cop.
I hated Jaws, it had too much shark, and dont get me started about King Kong, waaay too much gorilla
It wasn't the best explanation by any means, but also not the worst, copycat, re attach his head, etc.

Because the man in the mask was Michael, not a paramedic. That was a convoluted bit of nonsense they made up after the fact to justify Resurrection's existence. As far as I'm concerned, the person we see get his head lobbed off at the end of the movie IS Michael, period, end of story.
Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.
Because the wasn't the original concept. Money talks so they found a loop hole to churn out another sequel. You can think specifically in-universe as to why the paramedic didn't do that, idk how far that will get you...
