When this movie was first released I saw it at the Angelica in Houston. The fantasy scene were the young men were getting out of the pool weren't swimming trunks and there was more than nudity. I don't think that version was released on DVD, guess Blockbuster had the clout to dictate content. I wonder if there'll ever be a director's cut of this movie?
shareI saw that version too on cable. Probably IFC, since they're the only ones with balls enough to show a penis.
shareThe release cut fully represents the director's vision, based on what was shot. There was a scene here or there that was cut because he felt that it didn't work for whatever reason, but no scenes were cut or altered in the editing room due to pressure from anyone. If you rent or buy the DVD, you'll see the film exactly as he intended.
