Manson scored this, huh?

I saw this listed in a caption on the Marilyn Manson featured episode of the Dinner for Five and I know I've seen it the same way some where else (probably on the internet) but I can't figure out where.

Why the hell is Marilyn Manson listed as having scored certain movies including The Matrix and From Hell?

He didn't score them. They merely used one or more of his songs.

Now, the Resident Evil movie on the other hand, he actually did score.

That's the thing that doesn't make any sense. It's the aforementioned two movies among others as well as the Resident Evil movie that were all listed in the same kind of credit to him. I think it was "Music by...".

If I'm thinking about this correctly, it seems similar to some thing in that news story they had on the ABC World News at 5:30 p.m. central time recently about the houseless guy on which the movie with Jamie Foxx called The Soloist was based.

What they did in that one part of the news story was talk about some thing to do with the fact that the guy has or had schizophrenia. And immediately following the schizophrenia dialogue they showed a brief video of the houseless guy, in the hall of some kind of refuge house he was living in at the time, being pissed off about some thing--as if to imply that anger is a symptom of schizophrenia--which in turn implies that schizophrenics are the only people that can be angry or rather that if you experience anger you have schizophrenia.

"Uh oh, this guy is getting angry. He must have schizophrenia."

Okay.

He actually did score From Hell, though they didn't actually use any of his material in the final cut. I don't know what other MM band mates collaborated with him for their unused score, but I know for a fact that John 5 also wrote some stuff for it, who of course, at the time the film was made, was apart of the band.

As for the rest of the Marilyn Manson members, I don't know if they actually had any input on the scoring of the film.
