Why should he have? All the Robert Rodriguez movies I have seen have been violent action movies!

Do you not like what Julie Taymore did? I think she did an extrodinary Job. All of Robert Rodriguez's movies are Awesome, however, I think that Julie Taymore added that extra Artistic ingredient to the movie that NEEDED to be there to portray Frida Accurately.

Robert Rodriguez doing Frida? That would be... interesting...

Taymor's direction was brilliant. While I'm sure Rodriguez would have crafted a well-done film, it wouldn't have had that same spark that Taymor brought, IMO.
