Was this movie too faithful to the comics?

I think a lot of the audience who weren't fans of the comics would think Reed was too much of a stiff/square, Johnny too much of a jerk to Ben and in general there was too much inconsistency between the angst and humor.

This film is faithful to a certain degree. Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm were pretty spot on . Somethings about Susan Storm were right. The FF seem like a family in the movies. How they get their powers is pretty accurate(Although Doom does not go to space with them and he is honestly very different from the comics). The costumes were pretty accurate. I will also say in the Sequel the Silver Surfer is kinda accurate.
I might be missing a few things though

not with Doom, he wasn't with them when they got their powers and didn't face the fantastic four until issue #5.

My point was that Doom wasn't the first villain they fought in the comics, it was Mole Man. IMO the reboot should have made him the main villain.
