Question about The Thing
If Ben Grimm could revert back to his original form once in the molecular storm machine, why didn't he use it again after the final battle with Dr. Doom? Why did he choose to stay as The Thing?

shareDidn't even think of this. Probably because this movie is an abomination on so many other levels.
In the sequel when Grimm is complaining about being the Thing someone should just say "then get back in the molecular storm machine bro!"

At the end of the movie, when Reed is saying he can recalibrate the machine to fix Ben, Ben specifically says to Reed that he's fine the way he is. Why he chose to stay that way is not addressed.
What I want to know is how was Ben able to go back to being the Thing, when it took Victor's "extra power" to make him Ben again in the first place? And how did Reed recover so quickly from his "soft rubber" state, after going through the machine?
But I think I know...plot holes in an enjoyable but pretty dumb movie.
The machine alone made thing worse, as it did with Reed but Doom seemed to 'absorb' what was in Ben along with the machine. A regular human person, like Ben the second time, going through the machine made them 'Fantastic'
