Atmosphere, action, ideas... all perfect. This is an intelligent and deeply effective movie.

I just watched it again recently for the first time in a while and it holds up well.

I agree. Funny how the message boards all seem to be people either love it or hate it. Doesn't seem to be any in between.

I am in between. I think the story mostly good, the surveillance thing is accurate. But I think the movie itself is kinda crappy. I also didn't like Will Smith in it, or Hackman, or Voigt. Or the fat mafia stereotype. Or the contrived and dumb ending.
