Pitbull song in Dogma??

Just watching Dogma again.. At 32:41 when Jay and SB are in the diner with Bethany if you listen VERY carefully you can hear the sampled track from the Pitbull song "You're the One" ala Mickey and Sylvia playing in the background. Just popped out at me during a moment of silence when Jay was bemoaning the lack of backdoor action From Bethany.. Well popped was probably not the best word to describe it, but you get the idea.

Amazing where songs end up....

Considering this came out 2 years before Pitbull started I highly doubt it. The song had been around a lot longer than Pitbull himself has, it was also in the original Dirty Dancing. He just remade it.

Pitbull sampled part of the song in his 2013 song.
The original is called "Love is Strange" by Mickey & Slyvia and was featured in Dirty Dancing.

And it was originally released in 1956...Dirty Dancing just made it popular again.

Jesus Christ...thnking a hit song from the 50's was a "Pit Bull song". Even the math from the date of the movie doesn't make sense to anyone who can add and subtract.

I really cringe over the musical ignorance of a lot of "younger people" these days... They don't realize that about half of hip hop and rap hooks are sampled from older music. It's part of the genre, artistically.

Listen to some "Oldies" every once in a while!! Ugh.
