I had completely forgotten about this movie, haven't seen it in at least 5-10 years. And after re-watching it, i thought it still holds up and i think it's very under looked because its a kevin smith movie.

shareI totally agree. I feel like a lot of people are totally oblivious to the fact that this movie even exists. Of course this excludes any die hard Kevin Smith fans. But yeah this is definitely one of Smith's beat movies IMO. It has it all, comedy, action, a bit of drama/romance. I always recommend it to anyone I talk to who has seen any of Kevin Smith's films.
shareI agree that it's probably Smith's best work, but why do you think it is underrated? An IMDb rating of 7.4 isn't that bad for a comedy, especially considering that the content might repulse people that are too uptight with their faith (which is a huge factor in the US).
And I don't share the impression that only few people heard of Dogma. More than 170k people voted here on IMD, that is quite a lot (there are movies in the Top 250 with less). Maybe that's an american thing, though, it got more votes from outside the US.
7.5 is about right.
