Lionsgate marketing/distribution

Why does Lionsgate treat this film like a redheaded stepchild?
They stopped making DVDs and Blu-rays. It's not available to stream
on Netflix or Vudu? They treat it as if they wish it was never made.
Are they afraid of offending the religious right Walmart shoppers?
It (along with Chasing Amy) is arguably one of Kevin Smith's two best
movies. I was raised Catholic, went to Jesuit High School and College.
I can understand some people may not share my willingness to question
or make light of my own religious beliefs. Another movie that gets a
similar treatment is Warner Brothers Life of Brian. I don't get it.

I 100% agree. WTF?!?! This IS Kevin Smith's greatest work by far. I'd like a plausible explanation for this also.

I, too, was raised Catholic and went to Jesuit High School (New Orleans), I see nothing wrong with it.

It's just a 17 year old movie at this point, they probably weren't making much on it these days so they stopped making them. I love the flick, but it's older than the average movie goer these days, I understand why it's not pushed hard by them. I believe it used to be available on Netflix a few years ago, but it's been a while since it was removed.

In the U.K it's not even on iTunes.
