Have anyone around, and old enough to remember "Ever After" noticed all the "copycat" Cinderella movies they made afterwards? There's no comparison though. Ever After is far better than all of those put together. Another thing, Danielle was more independant from the prince than the one in the newest rendition of this fairytale.

You DO realize that it's a different spin on the original Cinderella? A story that's hundreds of years old?

I don't think they're copying this film, I think they're just films based on the Cinderella story.
You could say 'ever after' is copying Cinderella!
