Just read on the site that this movie had a little brother named Nobby that was deemed too cute.

Was there a sketch of him or any other visuals?

Yes, there were many sketches of lost characters released in a book about the movie's production. There was also a story line about Nobby having a pet worm which dies (like Shawshank's Jake).
