The island they live on is destroyed by weather or big business. After travling around, they decide to rebuild one. Only to realize thier in a zoo. The normal sized animals, are big compared to the ants. Like a normal sized monkey is a giant to them, and appears like King Kong. This could either be used for an Antz sequel. What do you think?
shareInteresting thought. Keeping in mind that an ant is half an inch tall if it stood like in A Bug's Life, and a monkey is somewhere around 2 feet tall, that means the monkey is 48 times larger.
Proportionately to humans/King Kong that would be a 280 foot tall Kong. But what would they do with the bigger animals? They already explored the concept of "bigger bugs" in the first movie both as attackers and defenders. And birds were an obstacle to overcome. What do you propose would happen with those bigger animals?
That's just a gag, not a story. The only thing that sounded remotely like a story was the 'travling around' part. Maybe work on that. or better yet, come up with your own setting and characters and write your own story/screenplay.
