I think Dot would make a better queen than Atta!

Seriously, did anyone else besides me think Dot was more useful than Atta in this movie? Dot actually helped Flick more than once, and what did Atta do? Complain, give speeches, and then complain some more!

I know that Atta is the eldest sister and all, but if there were a sequel to this movie (which showed Dot as a teenager), I'm sure Dot would make a better queen than her.

^Never did anything wrong? Like screwing up their work, nearly killing Atta, lying about the circus bugs, basically being incompetent all the time?

Atta isn't supposed to be nice to him; that's why their relationship gets interesting.

And you tell me if you were Atta and someone who continuously screws up like Flik brings a bunch of bugs who look nothing like warriors, telling you that's exactly who they are, and that you wouldn't be suspicious. It's much more logical than kissing his feet about it, which is very naive and then you guys would be calling her an idiot for being so quick to believe him. Dot believes in him because 1) she's a little kid and 2) she thinks he's interesting.

Atta is very responsible and dutiful. Dot doesn't care about being a princess at all, so I can't agree. Dot is an immature brat, although she was a good leader for the blueberry troops (a bunch of little girls).

Sounds like a ruler to me. And speeches... yes, rules should never, ever give speeches to their kingdoms

Unlike most princesses in Disney, Atta accepted her responsibility and did her best to learn how to be a good ruler, unlike Dot, who seemed to care little about her own people and just wanted to play around. What does Dot do? She whines about wanting wings, helps Flik (like ATTA does), gets herself nearly killed twice.

Atta is a bitch who should've been eaten by the bird or killed by hopper. She was nothing but a skeptical, synical, rotten, stuck up bitch much like the actress who plays her.

She threw the hero out because she thought his idea wouldn't work, she never gave him or it a shot. It's like telling brave firefighters to get lost because they don't have a hose.

I really HATE Atta.

Atta "bitchiness" as people keep pointing out, was due to anxiety, stress, and fear. She's in training to be queen, worrying about having food for the whole colony, meeting Hopper's demands, having plans to go to war, concerned about the oncoming rainy season, and doubtful about Flik's capabilities since it seems like he's a regular screwup. So yeah, she was moody, and mean to Flik mostly because he was making everything more difficult for her. But her attitude changed she the situation changed. She became friendly, optimistic, and caring. We simply caught Atta on her "bad days". You handle all that pressure at once and see how perky you can be.
