So........ were Slim and Francis banging?

Sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseum but I really get a vibe from them. The way that Slim interacts with Francis when Francis gets ticked with the flies, then Francis seems overly panicked when he loses Slim in the branches. Biggest piece of evidence for me: Slim says if it wasn't for Flik, Francis would have never found his feminine side. Okay, I know he's talking about the blueberry scouts, but isn't it possible to interpret that line sexually as well?

I don't really see them as boyfriends because of Slim's "Your boyfriends from the circus are here" line. More like friends with benefits who sometimes border on lovers. You're free to vilify me for thinking this. Thoughts?
