Anyone else waiting for an Anamorphic Widescreen DVD release??

I don't know about anyone else, but the only DVD I am able to find of this movie, is a letter boxed non-anamorphic version. Meaning, if I watch it on my HD tv, it will still have the black bars and the picture is stretched. It's horrible! I've emailed the company who released the DVD and they have no current plans on a re-release or a Special Edition. I thought they should do a 10 year anniversary edition, but nothing ever happened. I'll continue the wait because this movie is amazing!

This release is anamorphic (tested personally)

Your tv doesn't have a crop function? Both HD TVs I have owned have had functions that enabled you to crop off the bottom and top sections of 4:3 video so that it wouldn't be distorted. This feature worked perfectly with annoying Non-Anamorphic DVDs.

That's not good enough. Sure, it's more watchable, but not when compared to a movie with the proper ratio to begin with.

My "Brokedown Palace" DVD IS anamorphic widescreen.
