I was looking for the real story to. When the movie was first release, it was said to be loosely base on a real story.

I dont think its based on a singular true story, but if you are looking for more info / real life accounts, try googling warren fellows, sandra gregory, christopher v parnell, michael connell, colin martin and steve wilcox, all have done time in either bangkwang klong prem or bali prisons.
