Stephen Dorff sick of Marvels ‘worthless garbage,’ mocks MCUs attempt to remake Blade

Stephen Dorff need to cool it.

PG-13 Blade is a poor decision. "Marvel style" Blade is almost an oxymoron*

Also, Stephen Dorff is in idiot. He clashed with Snipes about the production of the original Blade and had heated disagreements. Now, he thinks it's the best thing ever? Sheesh.

This is very telling. I get that the direction they are trying to take Blade is not a good one. And he's right to criticize it. But to claim that it can't be improved 25 years later? I can't accept that.

* "Marvel style" is the big tent film making through an established and successful template. It is targeted at PG-13 audiences and can't risk anything that makes certain topics and genres, such as Blade, what they are.

They have lots of fights and violence, but you don't see the result of that violence. No blood, broken bodies, or dismemberment.

Epic world-destroying battles end with sweaty people breathing hard, with some dirt on their faces, and maybe a torn uniform. When characters do die, it's more like they're falling asleep peacefully.

None of these things fit with Blade. At all.

He is almost certainly right. I would love to be proven wrong, but doing a remake is a touchy business, and there is sooooo much riding against this one working,

1. Cape fatigue.

2. PG rating.

3. Wokeness.

4. No Snipes.
