Question about Krieger (spoilers)

In the trivia section it states "Frost kills Krieger". My question is:

Could Krieger turn into a vampire if Frost's vampiric virus entered his bloodstream after Frost bit him?

In this scene, it is obvious Frost wants to kill Krieger because he talks to much. Just wondered where the line was drawn (I.e. turn into vampire or simply die).

Yes. Anyone could turn into a vampire that way after a bite. However...the bite was very fatal in it's delivery. He died instantly. A person can turn into a vampire as long as they are still alive. Like, they're not fully dead. Only when they are in the process of dying, or just wounded and not fully drained of their blood. That's how a human can get turned. In Krieger's case, his throat was ripped open and his veins/arteries were bursting out of control. No matter what amount of vampire virus there was in his blood stream, he wouldn't have made it out as a vampire. As a vampire-zombie mutation like Curtis Webb, maybe he could have had a better chance returning to the real world as that. But nothing like a regular vampire.
