what a beautiful film. what a stunning book.
i still cry at the images that they managed to bring from the pages onto the screen, especially sethe's back and the emptiness in beloved's eyes.
Beloved is an incredibly beautiful film. Sethe's back vividly illustrates the horrors she went through.

I loved Thandie Newton's lifting up her dress to show the audience her pubescent naturalness, instead of being Brazilian waxed, trimmed, or shaved! It gave Danny Glover a good reason to floss after he was done feasting!

(was that somehow supposed to signify an exorcism? as Beloved was gone after that)

I saw this movie when I had the flu as a kid, I was overwhelmingly feverish, my skin felt burnt and my sweat was fettered and discusting. It helped to amplify the 'evil' of the film, and I found it one of the most disturbing films ive ever seen.
